The vocals you hear is from a Singapore rock trio*, Lunarin, who have made one of their track — “The Sky (Algiers)”; YouTube vid hereavailable for remixing under a CC BY-NC-SA license. As of this post, it’s a GarageBand file.

[UPDATE, 24 Oct: MP3 stems available at archive.org]

Truth was, I was stuck figuring out how to approach the remix, ‘cos I was very familiar with their original version. Then I came across Admiral Bob’s pensive and sensitively played piano sample. I toyed with Lunarin’s vocal sample over that. And thought I heard magic.

Hope you liked this one. I know I had fun remixing this. From my favourite S’porean band, no less. BTW, technically this upload should be under a CC-BY-NC-SA license (but I can’t change the default ccMixter setting, as it follows AdmiralBob’s license).

* Lunarin is Linda Ong (Bass, Vocals), Ho Kah Wye (Guitars), and Loo Eng Teck (Drums, Vocals). Among them, two of them are practicing lawyers and one is an engineer :)
