Galatians 6:7-8

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. He who sows into the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows into the spirit shall of the spirit reap eternal life.

I used to
settle for less
I used to
put the Lord thy God to the test
I used to
like Cain give below my best
I used to
allow corruption to manifest
because I used to
sow into my flesh
I used to
fornicate and couldn’t care less
I used to
drink and drive creating a big mess
I used to
be misguided like followers of David Koresh
but now I invest

I put my faith to the test
I give more than a tenth and then use the rest
still I have enough for the family in my nest
sin is no longer my constant pest
clean like a tuxedo and a prom dress
I strive to live a life of righteousness
from out of gas to full of the spirit
as if I had visited Hess
this miraculous transformation
is no longer a surprise to me
as I now understand the concept
of investing wisely
