For my Secret Mixter I drew robwalkerpoet, so I lost the option of just yapping over someone else’s music, and was compelled to highlight another spoken word poet’s work. Rob’s voice is easy on the ears so I chose not to mess with it, but rather to just give it the simplest of atmospheric treatments to let the words and delivery tell the story.

This is a lovely poem, with so many possible takeaways that I will not comment on why it spoke to me.
