One of the greatest terrors we all fear, is the fear of rejection by someone we love.

Somewhere we learned to celebrate the days we were to complicate
You had a photo of that day
You showed me over coffee
We looked so young and ill at ease our clothes were strange our smiles believed
You had a bag from Louis V
And I a bag of toffees

On Denmark street where lovers kissed we laughed and joked and reminisced
The people passed so unaware
That we would soon be parting
For though our hearts were oft entwined we ultimately were inclined
To go our way to somewhere new
We were now just the good friends

It’s a pleasure to have known you to loved you and owned you
I’ll always remember your smile
You touched me too often now everythings rotten
So it’s goodbye to you fair maid
In your state of suspension beliefs torn unmentioned
But hardly an excuse for this
And I suppose it’s not possible and really quite comical
To ask for just one more kiss

Now I’ll take the 29 you the 14 different directions but that’s how it seemed
Whenever we journeyed outside of our dreams
We always were pleasant and charming
But like all those who falter we offer up words full of dimension and perfectly squared
You with your lady luck and me with my turds
Always looking for one more bright morning
