This collaboration is the continuation of a series of remixes parenting each other. The immediate parent is
spinmeister’s Unforgiven, which in turn was parented by:
On the father’s side: The midi file of the very handsome
piano track by TheJoe, which in turn started it’s life as a piano accompaniment to an a cappella track by Mandyleigh Storm.
On the mother’s side, it features the drop dead gorgeous
vocal track of Kaer Trouz, which in turn was inspired by a stunning
guitar track by Loveshadow, which in turn was inspired by the lovely
Honeychild a cappella by by Narva 9.
In my remix I (spin) played very modest attempts at additional parts (acoustic bass, vibraphone, flute) around the vocal and piano tracks. Since I’m not a jazz player, I only tried to convey a feeling rather than being able to add any instrumental prowess to the work of KT and TJ.
So when I received a private email from jazz bassist shimoda, the idea was quickly born to make a collab project out of this and see if there are other jazzy inclined ccM’rs, who would like to replace some or all of the parts that I (spin) had played. Or do who knows what. So I’ll upload subsets of my remix here, and whoever would like to contribute a part - just have a go at playing and uploading something.
I (spin) will take a crack at combining contributions uploaded here into a coherent virtual jam session.
Or take it and do your own remix - that’s what ccM is all about. jazz or no jazz. :-)
Would be kind of cool to see further “offspring” - I’m curious how many generations may spring to life.
The TEMPO is 66 BPM.

Exciting Update: I just got a note from the lady herself: Kaer Trouz has offered to have a go at singing a new vocal track specifically for this version. So I’ll post a vocal free track as well for her to experiment with.
p.p.s. if any drummer wants to have a go at playing live brushy/jazzy drums for this version, please let me know and I can also post a drum-free click-track only version.
p.p.p.s. this project is intended to be wide open, so just contact me for an invitation, if you’d like one. Additional parts might also be very cool - a nice smokey real saxophone comes to mind - even a little hollow body guitar pluck might work. My mind is open - let’s jam - we even may end up with more than one version!
