I’m not a big Quicktime Player user. I just installed it recently to watch a movie clip but when I came here with QT installed(Firefox browser)I was having problems downloading. It got frustrating so I uninstalled QT and now I have no problems downloading.

Anyone else experience this? Or did anyone figure out how to adjust the settings to make QT download? Just wondering.

QuickTime on a PC is evil. Has been like that for years. I recently got into trouble again. Firefox offers all mp3-files as download and I can’t stream them in an extra tab. I am using this script for playing files from a page (drag it to your Firefox toolbar and press it when you’re on a page full of mp3’s).

download mplayer + codecs to play about all kinds of movies. Then download the firefox mplayer plugin to watch quicktime movies on the web.
