Season of the Stars: Annual Holiday Music Remix Event

Van Gogh The Mixterverse invites you to join Season of the Stars – a magical remix event where we celebrate dark nights illuminated by the shining light of the stars and constellations most visible this time of year. Participate at both ccMixter and MixterPlus as we will build two diverse libraries of fresh, seasonal music. (Reminder: uploads from each platform can’t be intermixed.) At ccMixter Together at ccMixter we’ll transform timeless public domain holiday songs into genre-bending remixes that transcend boundaries.Take classic public domain holiday songs and reimagine them with your individual style: a cozy fireside melody, rock variation, eclectic jazz invention, or a happening EDM dance track. Your unique music will help build a fresh archive of songs for the season. How to Contribute: Explore this list of public domain holiday songs and choose your inspiration. Reimagine these classics with your distinct sound and share your remix with the ccMixter community. At MixterPlus Join us at MixterPlus in building a nontraditional library of original songs and stories that celebrate this season in various ways around the globe. Craft and share original lyrics, melodies, and narratives inspired by changes in the stars that rise and sun that sets. Upload spoken word or songs and invite others in our community to craft a remix with your specific vision using the MixterPlus workshop. From poignant ballads to uplifting anthems, every piece becomes part of a collection that redefines how we celebrate the season through music and storytelling. Uploaded a remix at Mixter+ this morning.
Doesn’t show up on the playlist if I’m logged in. Does show up if I’m not logged in. I need to access it logged in so I can figure out how to get a Season of the Stars tag on it. In fact, I could use a brief (but thorough) tutorial on how to tag on Mixter+. Also - maybe this is a good time to mention that I get a ‘You got remixed’ email every time I upload a remix. |

I see that you found the upload. So - does it show on your playlist?
This morning I got a legitimate ‘You got remixed’ email. Again, that upload (by Zenboy1955) doesn’t appear on the playlist for me if I’m logged in. But it does if I am not. So it seems like the playlist isn’t showing any new uploads (?), at least for me (if I’m logged in). I can access Zenboy’s upload by going to his artist page though. |

Thanks for the report, Speck. I’ve improved the playlist so that it should include all the recent uploads now.
Tagging a track is done with the “Edit” button when you’re viewing a track page. I’m working out some potential glitches with this, so let me know if you get funky results. |
