Not sure what the cause of this is, maybe we’ve just filled the servers, but it could be a copyright issue with use of work. Would it be possible to find out?

We try to comply with the spirit of creative commons, occasionally we’ve unwittingly broken rules, such as uploading stems belonging to the original creator, this isn’t to take credit but to allow remixers to use pellas and samples that have been chopped, time/pitch modified etc. We spent some time removing the offending material, to make it easier to sort legal and royalty stuff out.

If anyone has an issue with our uploads, we’ll try our best to sort it out and comply with rules.

It may just be a case of overloading the servers as we’re a busy studio here.

Victor and Emily have put me in the clear, and it is just a case of overloading the servers. Our crew do a remix a day typically, with all the instruments played and programmed, our non profit business is about training re-employing the disadvantaged in music as well as visual art and written print.

So the admins were right to freeze the account’s uploads till this issue is clarified, disk space isn’t free and uploading up to several tracks a day with stems hogs the server and makes it harder for other users.

We’ll try going for quality over quantity, and also the possibility of uploading repeating riffs and beats, as small original samples, witch are easier to use.
