Listening to a lot of Madonna and similar 80s stuff like Kylie & Eternal etc.

I found pop music more genuinely subversive when it was more pop! We tried to find a Cathy Dennis version of this song but couldn’t find one, so we had a gow at making one in her sort of style.

The happy side of it now is my other half is now well enough to sing again for the first time in five years!

This was recorded in a single tape with little practise. Two versions up, showing different vocal effects i.e. non / autotune etc, and an acapella too.

This is a cover of Madonna’s superb Promise To Try, my wife (who owns our studio) is a Madonna nut :) It’s about loss of a parent she says, hence the choice.

So this isn’t public domain or cc but simple amateur fun.
