You’ll notice a new menu item on the left called ‘Preferences’

Click on that to control and customize the behavior of the site to your liking.

You can choose to see the latest remixes or uploads on the sidebar (yes, Recent Playlists is busted, bug noted). And the “spinmeister-feature” of your default artist tab will be the when you click on an artists name anywhere in the system.

You can also allow anonymous email contact. That means that if someone wants to use your music and they can reach you through the site without having to create an account and upload something. Be be careful when you turn this feature on: even though your email address will never be published on this site, you’re still leaving yourself open to be hassled by anonymous randomness.

As side note, people who were used to the ‘old’ ccM will notice that our URLs got shorter. For example, instead of

/media/people/teru

you can now leave off the /media part and just say

/people/teru

They both still work but one is oh so much prettier. That goes for any URL address that used to have to start with ‘/media’ - that part is now optional.
