I never thought I’d be in a Coucteau Twins track. My own vocals sound a little harsh on my ears, LOL (it’s of no fault of your mix). I’m glad the pell inspired you. You know what? I’m going to continue the musical conversation. Version 2, coming up :)

Quote: Ivan ChewI never thought I’d be in a Coucteau Twins track LOL Ivan you know me too well, it was the “absolutely magical” bit of your reading that got me going on this one. I tried to get a bit of feeling of “things happening outside the tent” through the various bits of percussion. Cheers for the pell, am keen to hear what you have done with my mix.

I’ve listened to your mix quite a few times now. You did some subtle and clever work in editing the spoken pell. Very nice.

This is absolutely magical! I love, love, love this remix! Your inimitable lush guitar wash compliments the romantic nature of the lyric and Ivan’s lovely recitation of the words. Bravo!

Thanks Susan I had a great time doing this. Ivan’s reading caught me just at the right moment, I was also delighted that he built on what I did with his version 2. All round a ccmixtertastic experience.

Great track. You know I’m a big fan, and this track shows why - the production is crisp and clean and each element (including the lovely guitars) get just enough room to breathe.

Great stuff.

Cheers Colab, there are plenty of layers on this one so was worried it sounded a bit muddy. Really pleased you dig.
