Without doubt you are the don when it comes to this genre and a live sound.

Sounds great. I only wish you would share a little on how you are achieveing it.

I suppose the simple answer is I don’t know. I was doing some maintenance this week and listened to a few tracks I recorded on 8 track reel to reel about twenty years ago and it sounded pretty much the same to me. Music to me has always been about live performance, I’ve been playing for nearly fifty years and done thousands of gigs. I think it’s all about choices what you put in what you leave out it’s certainly not about computer platforms or software. You go with what you’ve got and if that’s an acoustic guitar or a piano that’s what you arrange for. Keep it simple and keep it solid.

the tight details in the drum track & the pro-perfect live playing in the other instruments take this to a whole new place. the 12/8 signature is a lot less mopey than the original, too. i understand the first leg of our tour is a showcase in Scomber’s living room. probably gonna get loud!

Can’t hear this beautiful Panu song too often and this is a terrific new take on it. Enjoyed it hugely, as I always do when you two get together. x

Wow- a perfect example of how a “straight-ahead” interpretation can shine brightly, if done with care and attention. Brilliant job!

It’s hard to believe that you and Panu aren’t in the studio together working this out. A perfect, congruent treatment that makes me want to grab a beer, put my elbows on the table, and listen with head bobbing rapt attention.

Great blend again of the vox with the backing track.

All sounds very effortless but at the same time very polished.

Must have been a good 50 years!
