Yeah—It’s gotten pretty big and outta hand, but the roots are still intact. Anyways, I really dig your style of remixing, and had visions of a band playing your music live while listening to this track.

I’m looking forward to more TRF funky stuff in 2011!

Mana Junkie has it spot on… Fankalicious. Love the gated vox samples, add’s to the funkadelickness (not sure that’s quite the right spelling).

Not normally my cup of tea, but this is a great track. Happy new year

Thanks, Scott.

Was thinking, since funk and soul singers sometimes use short jerking words and phrases, a beat mangler might sound interesting.

Happy New Year

Gonna stop refering to a certain funk group named after a state.
This is so fun, creative and playful.
Happy new year!

This is really, really cool, and very well balanced.

Literally the only thing I would tweak is that the rhythm of the vocal gating f/x at times drifts out of sync with the main beat.

Very cool idea though. Sweet groove.

Thanks, Colab.

My first foray into beat mangling vocals. I am auto pilot wrt Gross Beat using presets which are in synch with the bpm but not necessarily with the rhythm.

Can be more specific as to the time stamps where it drifts off.

Sorry, don’t have the timestamp, but I was thinking about the section about 25% in after “I love my family, I love my enemies” in particular.

But that’s a minor point. This is a very cool track.

Check out the latest upload, Colab. Let me know if it has mo’ better sync in the 25% to 50% range. Thanks.

Sweet. :)

Thanks for going through the effort on this one - really appreciate it. I only mentioned it in the first place because I really liked the track.

The room/cabinet treatment on the guitar is really just great. Great, great tones on that.

I’m listening and searching for parts of me to the point i really got frustrated that I could find my stuff. Untill I realised that the samples you used where from a completly diffrent song of mine….

Really cool funky track man and there’s so much in there. Must be one of my favourite remixes of my sounds.

Did you use the drumloop, samples or booth? Just for me to know if its usefull to at the samples.

AA, I used four of your samples.

At 00:46, your bell and choir samples are routed through J Brock’s vocal beat mangling channel (described in how I did it) to create the climbing synth sound. The effects_percussions sample is used as the accent hit in this section as well.

From 00:56 to 01:05, your beat drum loop is added to create the break beat.
