Yeah, I really enjoyed working with your excellent offering. I’m happy you don’t hate the results. I bet there will be many more remixes of your vocal. I think vocals are the most desired uploads for most remixers.

Regarding finding samples - There used to be a different (I think better) way. It’s still around but the way in is weird since the recent changes (the site is constantly/intermittently under reconstruction.) If you go to http://beta.ccmixter.org/forum and look for ‘stems’ in the upper right it’ll take you there.

Oh! So… How much beta is that site? It does, after a short look, look a lot more modern. However, I do get some errors. Any estimates on “live”?

Should I use beta for more in-depth searching, and this site for the rest?

I will keep uploading a few more oldies with some more acapella, but the acapella collection is rather small. It´s just fun to see what happens with them. I also gonna use a lot of samples, so It’s just fun to contribute with some.

I’m not the most tech savvy guy and I really don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. I know the site is run/maintained by well-meaning volunteers on a shoestring budget and progress can be (is) slow. You might find answers in the forums.

I only use the beta for perusing samples/pells. But I’m sure you’ll find your own way around in time. (I didn’t even know you could use the beta for ‘the rest’.)
