Never thought it would turn out like this. It has become a song very close to my heart, for obvious reasons.

Great Song against Geerts sample.

There is something to be said for not uploading until you have finished it.

Obviously you had your reasons but i look forward to the final mix.

My digital music recording career was only established five months ago, after not having played music for ten years. Mixing is still a bit difficult for me. I plan to record a batch of fifteen songs. And master them at the end. My mixes tend to get better, but there is still a lot to learn. But after finishing the instrumentals and first mix, I just have the urge to ‘put it out there…’

I know how that feels. :-)
If you need help getting up to speed then mail me .

You can always borrow the skills of the community and upload the acapella and the parts separately to be mixed here, either as how you have it now or in a much `mangled up’ audio experiment as can sometimes be the case. :-)

Anyway great job and i look forward to the rest of your stuff. LS

I’ve gotta echo Loveshadow here. I think this is a fantastic composition that could be turned into a fantastic recording with a careful mixing/mastering pass.

As it stands, everything (especially the vocals) sound a little muffled to my ears… which makes my ears sad because I think you’ve got something great here.

A few months later and I have changed the piano and bass part, edited all tracks individually and mixed it in a way that every instrument has it’s own place in the mix. It’s still not perfect, but it’s definitely better. I want to move on to new projects now and hope to get better in mixing by writing and mixing new songs.

This is incredible. Found today and featured on our blog. Any chance you could add the lyrics? I want to send a copy to my mom.

Hello Snowflake. Hope I’m not too late. Working on a tablet right now so adding lyrics is a bit difficult. But you can find the lyrics on this page: http://www.robinschmitz.nl/...

Do you have a link for the blog?
