this is freakin’ brilliant Panu! this is an iconic song! (Willie Nelson is a really cool dude…) Wonderful vocal performance and lyrics that make me cry with understanding and connection. I’m not afraid anymore. :)

I haven’t listened to your voice in a while Panu. This is a wonderful song. It’s nice to hear you again — warm, rich, observant and astute. You were one of the first to welcome me with open arms when I came to ccMixter. I will always appreciate you for that.

That’s a panu song alright.In ten years you have come some distance in technique ..I can remember you asking about mics at one point. So what guitar is this and how did you record it. ..and what mic do you have .:) |

hey - you’ll appreciate the humor of this: the guitar is a Martin 00CXAE (given to me by a friend, but $ 400 on the open market), the mic is an MXL 990 (which I modded by replacing 3 caps, $ 45 on the open market for the mic). The guitar was recorded w/ this mic w/ a foam rubber baffle on the back side, sometimes I’ll use the 991 for lead parts. Really dug your recent uploads btw.

Well thats a nice even sound you got there. And that cheapy Martin you call it… is nearly a thousand dollars here. Been in the market for an new piece of strung wood lately .But it’s about the feel… as you well know… as much the tone.
