I loved reading your process. Your vision has truly become reality! Your reimagination of Into Paradise, including the vocals with their sand theme, adds complexity, depth and meaning. I’m immersed in the sound, with water all around me and sand at my feet. Great mix!!!

To be honest, I wish I had added more of “Into Paradise”. The drop might have been a place for some guitar riffs. Maybe I’ll try that one day. :) |

Thanks! The snare itself is nothing special - a stock plugin from ableton with (maybe) some additional delay. Now that you mention it, is sounds indeed quite industrial.
What adds some spice is the “d” from “sand”. It is quite harsh and I as not able to smooth it out. So I embraced it and used is as a percussive element. That way it is more present, which moves it at the same time more into the background. |
