Wow that’s some really nice, warm, dreamy stuff you’ve mixed in there, gave me an awesome headphones moment thanks. I think the track embraced me!

Thanks, glad that you like it! Maybe I’ll create another song with the 14 songs I did not use. While I really love this one, I think it fails the objective to “capture the essence of your sound”. :)

I think the “essence of my sound” is a result of my technique and formula which are both driven by my autism and, as a result, don’t change very much.

Keeping to a style that fits you is nothing one must excuse for. :)

Hey Musikpirat, I hope you will recover fully and that you can soon hop on a bike again.
I have not expected some “slow” house from you but here we are.
It is indeed warm and moving. Thumbsup.

Thanks! Will be a couple months until I am allowed to ride again. Will use the time to make more music instead. :)

Regarding the tempo, most of the time I stick to 120bpm because that’s Ableton’s default. But unless to want to do some fancy style that “requires” a specific tempo, it fits my mood quite well. :)

Congratulations for this mix.
We feel all the work and rigor that it required.
Excellent, I will listen to this rich piece again because it generates in me, a desire for sound discovery. In addition, it is very clean, bravo .

and congratulations on your longevity on CCMixter

Ah, I’m here quite some days longer than you are. And the first years I was more less a consumer. :)

So grateful your helmet did its job and that your cognitive brilliance delivered us this vibing, chilled-down house track playing on repeat over here in Kauai! the long length takes us on true journey of immersive sound. that transition from the breakdown around 5 mins in back to the rhythm is flawless! (hope the clavicle is healing nicely…) thank you for your artistry and activism all these years. you hold an important place in my heart!

Ah, as always you are way to kind. I really appreciate that. :)

I really like the vision of having this song being played on Kauai. That makes me feel a little famous. I mean - come on. Somebody living quite on the other side of the world on a island that is one of the most beloved place for honeymoons listens to my music. That gorgeous!

And one of the aspects I like most about ccMixter. It unites people from all over the world.

Thanks for keeping this little miracle alive for TWENTY years!

Thanks! I’m able to work again, so that’s a good thing, I guess. :)

Without you a lot of my songs wouldn’t have been possible. Some of them I would not publish anymore today. But I think that a natural process of becoming better. At least I think I’m getting better. (No fishing for compliments!)

Cool progression
THAT BASE SYNTH IS GRIMEY

.
permalink   musikpirat Sun, Oct 27, 2024 @ 11:41 PM
Thanks! The base synths are Ableton stock - the “Dub Wob Bass” and the “Airfare Bass”. The Airfare Bass is used as foundation while the Dub Wob Bass adds the more melodic parts.

At least one progression (the flutes) is not mine. But it fits like a charm. Everything else is just some C Major stuff. I love Ableton’s “Scale” feature. Makes life so much easier.

Uploading some stems right now.

Ouch! (For your biking mishap, NOT your remix!) Very nice House production. If we truncate your title just a bit, it turns into good advice seconds before you broke your clavicle: “BRACE YOURSELF!”

Awesome mix. I love those vocals bouncing back and forth in my headphones. Lots of cool transitions. Annnnnnd… I’m so glad you’re okay-ish from the accident! Please take care!
