Confession: When I heard the cussin’ version I felt ‘I’d like this much better with the word very’. But I didn’t want to reveal myself a prude, which I’m not, exactly. Anyway - I like this much better.

Good, good- I’m really glad you like this one more. I certainly wouldn’t ever accuse you of prudishness. When I wrote this, the “bad words” felt right… but after stepping away from it, it just doesn’t seem necessary. I’ll have to leave them for some angry songs. (Which I haven’t written lately… maybe I’m just not that angry anymore…)

I did have one realization though from your original upload. In your description you ‘blamed’ your mother ‘cause she swore a lot. It made me search my memory banks and I realized I never once heard either of my parents swear. I can’t say the same for myself though. |

I liked both versions a lot. :) A pleasant listen! “Lucky” makes me f..very happy, is a beautiful song. I think you are right Kara, this song shouldnt be a place for “bad words”. Congrats on the new Lucky recording, nicely performed
