Thank you, Steven. Want in on a secret? I had one goal in mind when I wrote the lyrics- metaphor. I tend to write in a very plain-spoken, literal fashion. I’ve written many-a-song about corruption- all very point blank. So I just wanted to challenge myself and expand the root metaphor… give it a story… leave out the specifics for once. I actually didn’t realize it was any good until I started recording it to Clarence’s instrumental. In summary, thank you for the compliments.

I like this one for a spoken pell; the verbal imagery is superb and the layered “conversation” keeps the mix from being too dry at the start before the mixer adds their own touch.
