Listening again, I think the ‘sweetness’ comes mainly from the mandolin. I think the subject of the actual hymn is bitter/sweet. Your version has a nice ‘layering’ of mandolin, voice and the synth pad(?).
I just realised that the lyrics also included the phrase “by and by”. |

A beautiful and as Deb says, relaxing listen. Is that your voice? If so, I’m glad hearing yet another mixer stepping up to the mic.

Nice! I’m thrilled to hear you singing. I think the song definitely needed a fiddle (I’d have handed a banjo too if they weren’t busted.)
The sound is nicely thickened out between the strings and the way you sung it, so it really ended up sounding full and complete. Thanks once again for tackling me! This is awesome. |

I just happened to listed to Presse’s remix first, but I feel the same way — this is the end of the party track extraordinare — when the best handful of friends are left and the jam session begins!
