It’s nice with surprises. Like this one. You know how it is, you associate certain avatars to certain genres, styles or a particular sound. In my ears, this is quite experimental but not at all difficult. The hypnotic Norman Whitfield bass in the “chorus” carries the mix forward nicely. Over all a mix that evokes lots of images. Nice.

one of the things I like to do sometimes is try to match up recent pellas with old source packs that are buried in the archive. kind of like sharing a great old book you’ve read with a new friend. there’s so much great material to work with here in the archive. using your excellent track to bring life to an old, forgotten source pack is akin to a lightning strike creating a wild forest fire opening the seeds for a new forest of ponderosa pine trees. ok, maybe that’s a stretch. :O |
