For my next track, I’m gonna do away with the strange, convoluted storylines and make a more straight-up remix… just as soon as I figure out how.

Dick Sutphen is known for being one of the most successful early purveyors of self-hypnosis/astral-projection tapes. The second reference was to an old SNL skit where audiences underwent mass hypnosis at a musical, they would exit the theatre as zombies etc.
