enjoyed this….kinda like an anxious walk through the dark woods with a backbeat…except the alto duck snuck up on me and scared me! :0…good track :)…and those drums are quite fly, MC Jack (thx for sharing)….. .. .

Thanks! I was this [] far from adding forest sounds for just such a walk!

I was not able to live up to the sample, but I had great fun trying.

oh, i don’t think it was a matter of comparison, as i think you used the sample well. i thought your remix had a very cool sort of trance-like swell and build to it, and the drums kept things pretty steady while the rest of the mix had this sort of rising build of tension and release. i dig it.

CCmixter is always good for me, in that I consciously try to leave behind my ambient prejudice against using most forms of percussion and beats. So many times, though, I want a “purity” in the beats, which I rarely find
outside of electro-beat minimalism.
When I heard your track, I dropped everything to make a mix, because I thought those beats were “pure”.

i don’t think there is any higher compliment than having someone tell you that they were inspired by something you did, so thanks gurdo.

i got something in the fire for you. :)
