Your writing is just so excellent Deb! I was going to say that wanted to be at Te Aroha too, but quite frankly. I believe you successfully communicated the feeling of awe, wonder and hope that infused (and I believe inspired) this poem, so that in a way, I am also there. Bravo!

Thank you SJ! It is in New Zealand and I was there in 1999 (so the poem has been around for a while and was included in one of my print collections).

Great evocative piece debbizo - thanks for using the sample. Incidentally the picture of Mount Te Aroha is uncannily similar to the view from my window.
