Creative mash up of retro pop radio rock and urban smoove R&B. Has d’pop radio feel.
On my cheapo Bose desktop speakers with false low end, the guitar chord hits overpower the voice. You have been very productive as of late. Ready for that interview? We’re ready to do another podcast and need a victim. |

I lowered the vocals because I thought they were a tad loud. I’ll put the last version up

I like this mix way mo’ better and so do my cheap Bose desk top speakers but IMO the guitar hits still crowd out the delicate vocals.
Do you side chain compressor limiters (ducking) to keep the parts from stepping on each other? We’ve used it on occasion to keep the bass and kick off each other. It works well but I’m too lazy to set it up and tweak it on a regular basis. If you don’t wish to raise the voice or lower the guitar gain during the hits, you might try panning and EQ on the hits to help the vocals stand out. Regardless, the song is still a rock/urban R&B fusion groove. |

Listening on studio speakers the separation between the voice and band is mo’ better. The guitars hits don’t sound like they crowd out the vocals as much as they do on the desktop speakers.

Classy and very professional. In the chorus the picked guitar ovder the power chords works very well. I guess this is so classy.
