I like the “live” feel you accomplished here, using a variety of virtual effects. The keyboards are quite effective. I had the same sensation I had once when I was walking on a hill in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, listening to the Gipsy Kings over at the local amphitheater—with all the drift and effects in the music.
The initial morphed vocals do not work as well as the later portions of this piece—I enjoy morphing vocals, so it’s not the “concept” of a morph that troubles me, so much as the way the execution doesn’t really fit in the rest of what you do here. The percussion is quite good, and support the keyboards. The audience sounds are quite interesting, although they seem to predominate over time. A very complex, intriguing mix. It doesn’t all work for me, but I recognize how much work and effort must have been involved in creating this. |
