are you using Ableton by any chance? your mixes have a little bit of ‘dark’ quality - not in a good way, like the actual freq band was chopped on both ends… There’s definitely arranging skills here, esp. the tempo change/retard stuff but the I’m just too distracted by the recording quality.

I was using Cakewalk home studio, I know what you mean though, I always have trouble with the final mix on every track i’ve done. I know my fault is that I enjoy actaully creating the thing but lack the patience/knowledge to sit down and really finish it, something I know I need to improve on.
