The Les Paul sound never goes out of style, does it. This could have been recorded 1981 in London, 1993 in Seattle or 2010 in Canada. Cool setting for this frightening lyric that really made me think.
On the technical side, I hear a few clippings, like vinyl scratches. |

Yes, they’re in the pella. Couldn’t get rid of them, only minimize them with compression and some envelope editing.

Sorry about the clips. It’s a combo of a bad mic (random, uncontrollable pops) and a bad habit (clips)of making the vox hot so I can stand back and get the room ambiance… then I get into the song and sing too loudly while forgetting to adjust the levels. THEN I like the take and don’t redo it. Yeah, I’ll definitely have to be more conscience of this.

This is AWESOME! Thank you very much for working with this pella. I am incredibly flattered. Your additions and mix are just so cool. Love, love, LOVE the wailing guitar!
Side note: I’m working on an electro-ish mix with my bandmate… Would you consider uploading the individual tracks so we can make it a sweet fusion? |
.
Sure. This was just my usual problem… I finished so late I was too tired to send them along last night. :)

Cool riffy basslines there. Nice choice of pell too. BTW, while I tilt towards the Les Paul, I think it’s the player who really makes the difference :)

Two things for a pleasant evening:. A glass of cold Chardonnay and listening your remix(es).

In vino veritas
Cool song, AB. Like it. Wrt to the pops and clicks in the vocal track, been able to silence or cut many of them out using a wav editor or suppressing them with a high resolution volume envelope over the sample. Been able to get some of the them out when they are in the middle of words. |
