A nice set of beats start things off. I like the rhythm track that kicks in. It’s a matter of opinion, but the mix’s elements aren’t as vibrantly mixed as they might be. I’d like to hear a richer “feel” to the way the elements are represented here.
It’s a good listen, though, with the different percussion elements keeping the mix interesting. The mix is not so monotonous as to be an issue—but I would like to hear an even more full feel to it. You’ve got a good sense for the atmosphere that works with this a capella track. Your mix has the right elements, but the dynamics don’t have the party “pop!” that goes with this type of exuberant music. Still, I like it, and I think you’ve headed down a good direction in this mix. |

I love this mix a lot. I’m not accomplished enough as an engineer to make specific comments but it sounds like there could have been a crisper (??) EQ on the final mix to make things really jump.
