This is really top Shelf Jeris! There is so much emotion and soul in this, that is totally lacking in all the music on the radio today . Let’s not forget the wonderful playing of the Admiral too :)

That’s what makes this place great. It’s getting better with all the stems that are uploaded too. This reminds me of Tupelo Honey by Van Morrison.

Oh yeah, I love this. I really, really love the easy going reggae groove. The vocals and harmonies are terrific, very reminiscent of Johnny Clegg and Jaluka. And the instrumentation is just right; you can’t do better than rhodes, clav, and a bright bass.
And who knew my part worked in a major key? I really liked learning that! |

This piece has the ease and comfort of a tropical twilight, and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

Pure Magic!!! And maybe even evil sourcery because you are much too fast and much too good! Would you mind uploading the pella? And the pella of “Out of Body”??? I´d be a lucky lil man, if you´d do it!

Totally delightful Jeris, I love it. The way the lines scan is great. Keep it up man :-)
By the way how are you making the vocal harmonies sounds like a processor. Takes nothing away i was just interested. |
.
Thanks man, the sound is unintentional artifacts. I think it’s the warp engine in Ableton mixed with the reverb of Ozone. I keep forgetting that I have Warp as the default. After I record it I always end up turning warp off but then I use the ‘Hi-Q’ button so maybe that’s what that sound is too.

OK, but I was referring to your vocal harmonies. So you are singing these, right ?

Oh yeah, it’s funny the first time I recorded on “I dreamt” I was trying to cut and paste and transpose stuff like I would when remixing a pella, but then I was like wait a minute I might as well record the harmonies..I forgot I was the voice.
I’ve always been curious about those vocal processors but i’ve never tried any. I was really curious about that Roland harmonizing keyboard too, but now I think I’d rather take the time to record each part. |

Stick to what you are doing you are making a very unique sound. By that I mean good :-)
