Thanks all, it was a pleasure working with “sackjo“‘s wonderful vocals again. Excellent track, Jeris! I really didn’t do anything to your music stems except for a few volume rides on the solo guitars. Everything sounded great just by throwing up the faders. Were those real drums? Nice!

Hey sorry for the slow reply, yeah those were real drums but I didn’t play them :)

The drums sounded great, performance-wise and in terms of sonic quality. Did you record them yourself or use an existing recording? The other instruments sounded good too, BTW. I guess I’m mostly curious about the extent to which you assembled existing recordings vs recorded new parts yourself. Either way, the end result turned out very well. Nicely done!

That’s cool, yeah the drums and bass came from a sample pack and some of the guitar. Most of the the solo guitar stuff is bits and pieces of samples from unreal_dm that I stitched together. The clavinet I recorded. It’s a D6 running through a fender twin and a vox wah. I usually use Trillian or one of the Kontakt Bass vsts but the sample I found was perfect so I just used that.
