Ironically the original intention was to place the vocal amongst a group of Taiko drums but the first percussion sample I auditioned took me down another road

The spare arrangement really highlights the vocal track.

The Admirals vocal with pauses added seemed to say so much more as the spaces appeared throughout the mix.
