this is really nice.

my only nit is the verb on the snare, I don’t know why it bugs me, but it does … that’s just personal taste tho :-) nice mix!

Thanks. Regarding the snare, the reverb is on the original sample of the beats I cut up, I left them as they were regarding effects. I did add a couple of other hits over the top though. Anyway, nice to have a positive first feedback…I’ve been checking out loads of other tracks on here and thinking ‘I’ve got a long way to go to compare with these folks!’

I like the snare OK, my nit is the hard right pan of the entire beat (as it sounds thru headphones); I was wanting at least an early reflection on the left, but like plurgid said, that’s just me ;)
I love the soft, easy clean-ness of the mix, it makes you pay attention, yet relax at the same time. Looking forward to your next offering!

Ha ha! I just thought ‘what on earth is he talking about?’ so put on my headphones and sure enough you are right - I checked on the original and had the pan set over to the right…..it’s not an annoying new production style - it’s an accident! I hadn’t noticed when listening on speakers, I’ve corrected it and uploaded the new version. Thanks for pointing it out and the other comments (I will pay a closer eye in future to avoid similar ‘D’oh!’ moments!)

Lovely… really like that acid-jazz feeling! :)

Only thing I think this is lacking is a good breakdown. Well, maybe it is just me — I can’t live without breakdowns :P
