Field recording and musique concrète (sculpture) are really where I come from. I stopped cross-posting my field recordings to ccMixter once I understood the -SA/-NC schism and realized I would always have license conflicts. That epiphany, in turn, inspired the lyrics for Not for Sale. I really did love using ccHost as a platform and am dreading my planned next move. I will probably port everything on freesound and/or IA, but that’s going to be a bunch of (non-creative) work so I’ve been putting it off… Such is life.
