The pads do well introducing and supporting the lyric theme. The beats provide a somewhat quirky (I like quirky) forward drive. Easy listening but never boring.

That’s a good thing .. i think you mean especially the Basswork and vocal? It is some kind of irish progression which made me confused too as i started with the bass :)

This is indeed a terrific and beautiful mix of Queenie’s gorgeous pella, the rhythm track adding an unexpected urgency to her gentle singing. Lovely!
