lot of strange things going on amongst the admirals lilies. Nice contrast between the lyrics/ vocal and the sweet piano, slightly epic never ending story feel

.
Thanks urmymuse! I was going for a stark contrast between the song’s instrumental backing and my lyrics.

Now those are some things that have never been balladeered before!!
|
.
Ha! I should hope so ;) One doesn’t find many ballads for the things most find repugnant. I’ve uploaded the instrumental as well. I’m hoping one of our fine singers at the mixter will use it. Thank you admiralbob77, for the review and the beautiful piano!

are we sure this isn’t off the White Album? right after Rocky Cocoon?
no? okay, i dig this a lot. |
.
It does have that late ‘60’s Beatles feel to the instrumentation. I was aiming in that general direction. Thank you very much Mr. Moon!

You don’t want to see my face after the first lyrics…nonetheless, I had to smile at the irony of the lyrics expressing repugnant themes and the noble music backing it up.
|
.
From the lyrics: “The pretty ladies hide their faces…” I could have written something more befitting the backing track. However, I’m a little impish at times; So I drove this one straight into a mud-hole. The instrumental is posted if someone wants to sing something else (hint). Thank you so much for reviewing!

Decay has never been soon presented in such a hymn-like fashion. Yet in the refuse-bin of life (and perhaps civilization as well) there is the flip side: rebirth.

.
Exactly, Anchor. There is a flip-side. Everything is not always beautiful and worthy of song. I see art everywhere. Perhaps it’s not always pleasing; But it deserves mention. Thanks for listening my friend!

I like other creatures and I like secret lives - so I love this song! It’s brilliant: funny, original, poignant, fascinating - and all delivered with your own special style to a great b/t. xxxx

Thank you so much, Ciggi. I think you’re one of the few who really “get” my efforts as to song writing. I love your new remix, BTW :)

Frank Zappa and Jimmy Carl Black would be proud.
