Mr Foot: The vocals just don’t seem to be in sync with your groove. However with that said, I do think the mood you created with your track fits like a glove with the vocals. Maybe you should speed up your track or slow down my vocals and listen to what happens…hmmm?

Thanks Frank!
I slowed you down to 100 BPM to match Alex’s beat. Re sync: I thought the same at first but after a few listens it seemed to fit. (maybe except for a few call-response licks). Many thanks for sharing. You’re the real thing! |

It all sounds perfectly aligned to me. This mix is the kind of silky smooth R&B thing I’d hear at the Rainbow, where after the second set, I desperately go and ask the singer if they’re looking for another guitar player. :)

Thanks AB!
Re sync of vocals. It is sometimes difficult for the original artist to judge timing of vocals in remix because they are so intimately linked to it’s inception and that original muse’s metronome is very hard to shake. I read that Brad Sucks never reviews remixes of his vocals because of this reason and he can’t stand listening to himself without wanting to fix some non existing flaw. New ears are more willing to accept alternative flow and phrasing choices because they have never heard the original. I guess it’s one of the exciting peculiarities of the annonomous creative environment we call ccM! Love this place! |

Actually I’m with FCHIII on this one - the main vocal sounds really good, but I have a bit of a problem with the background harmonies (both timing and harmony fit). If you just used the solo vocals I think it would sound much better.
That said - I am huge fan of finding separate uploads and putting them together - and you had a great instinct here. |

The music is very nice! The lyrics seem to be slightly off, both tempo-wise and key-wise. Really dug the backing music though.

CFoot, the good vibe is a little stronger than the asynch issue. Matching an existing b/t to a pell can be a challenge. Lots of good notions coming through nonetheless. Bold!
