All floaty and dreamlike, and maybe a little sad. Or maybe that’s me. Well it is now anyway. Effective.

Thank you Speck. The ambient quality of the piece is created by teru only, it’s a wonderful re-mix of many of Gurdonark’s samples. Please listen to his upload. Our contribution was to mash a polyphonic noise recording with the flow of teru, and to our surprise ‘stardust’ turned out to evoke melancholic associations. We noticed that too.

Yes, that teru mix is a beauty. I’ve heard, and enjoyed (and used), Gurdonarks music but had not heard this gurditation. By the way - I’ve worked some of the Oslo ambience sounds into a piece I’ve been putting together over the past week or so, so thanks for that upload.

I like this very much. Like Speck I also get the sadness in this piece.

I think it’s very tasteful. Very real. Takk for sharing this one. :)

…og takk for listening Colab! :)
It might be strange that an expression of gratitude for the fantastic generosity here on ccmixter (both in terms of creativity and attitude) has this melancholic notion on it. This was not our intend, but it somehow illustrates our musical abilities - which are amateurish in every sense.

Sadness?…maybe cause its not the norm? tell me Artists whats normal? where did you get sadness of out this? like i did a piano piece and this young 12 yr old found sadness in it why 12 yr olds are not usually into classical type music. I think of this as inkblot test…you look at the picture and what does the mind see? or here!…i hear a bit of good repetitive sounds and harmonys…the tempo is slower..their maybe sounds that are not the norm in airplay radio. I like the diversity of this..remember all work and no play “can” make jack a dull boy..or one thats depressed. I now first hand i have lived it. Beauty in Sounds!…i hear it! Saddness is in the minds of the beholders…wow im getting inspired..Thanks!…

You have many interesting things going on amongst your uploads, we’re inspired to dig deeper into it Chuck! Thanks for commenting here, and yes, we are players (in the best and worst sense) ;-) Cheers and thank you again!

I tend to agree with you Chuck. Which is why I said “…and maybe a little sad, or maybe that’s me…” Another way of putting that seeming truth is ‘we don’t see things the way they are, we see things the way we are’. Like you asking if we thought it was sad because it wasn’t ‘normal’. That’s your inkblot test results. What your experience brought to our words. I know you’ve heard some of my uploads, I’m not put off by the ‘abnormal’. Quite fond of it actually.
