Process
After i had chosen to use 130 bpm for the song, I adjusted the vocals using warp markers so they would match the speed. Then I created the drum track. Next was the bass track. At that point, it was not that complicated to continue building tracks for the other instruments. During that process I consider it crucial to be able and willing to also adjust previously created tracks to make them match everything else.
This was the point at which I had created a 17-bar loop. I copied it in order to get a length of about 3 minutes and then started removing certain instruments during different parts of the song. After that I used Ableton's randomization tools to allow for a more natural feel due to slightly varying velocities each time the loop was played.
