Process
I saw they had a finished song but I purposely did not listen to it so I wouldnt be led this way or that. The first part you hear is a perfect long note, and after that I was like - ok, gotta make a pop song!
Other Notes
So since I was going to make a pop song I needed some pop chords. I laid out the vox in piano to establish the Cantus Firmus as A,C,G,D as the basis of the hook and went down to an 1/8 note species. The intro is just the gated hook without the gate actually, and the 2nd cadence I just added notes in the next octave.
