How I Did It

Samples are used in:
Tools I Used
I used Tap Tempo to tap out the groove I had in my head.
Recorded onto a Fostex Mr-8 with an SM58 on the neck joint of the guitar and mandolin, and an SM-57 on the sound hole. The bass was recorded into Reaper and then VSTied using the M-Audio general MIDI module using an acoustic bass setting. The piano I just played into Reaper - no VSTi. I made the simple drum piece in Hydrogen.
Original Samples
A guitar part, a lead mandolin part (all stereo), an acoustic bass, a simple hi hat and bass drum pattern, and a piano.
Process
Recorded it half on hardware, and then to the DAW for bass and piano.
Other Notes
I was too tired to do another one. Then did it anyway.
