How I Did It

Only the vocal from "I Hate California" though I did use the drum track as a guide (but mixed it out).

All instruments. No loops, rather played through.
Process
First, I worked out the chord changes to fit the vocal. Then, using the drum track as a rough guide, I put down the higher (left channel) guitar part, then recorded a duplicate guitar part for right channel (but mixed down). Then I added the lower guitar (R ch), again playing this part twice, with the main part in ch R, and a mixed down version in ch L. Then I added the lead guitar and celeste in the breaks. All parts were mixed with a shallow (small room) reverb, and all the guitar parts have compression and added Haas effect. Vocal was left with no additional FX.
