One my earliest memories is my Dad protecting his old Nat King Cole vinyl from my grubby little hands as they spun in 78 and filled the room with sugar.
Not sure if Nat ever sung this gospel standard, but thats the picture in my head. A big thanks to Tobias and Frank for leading me into this wonderful garden. I’m certainly cant sing like Frank or caress a jazz guitar like Mr Weber and I’m definitely aint no Mr Cole, but here I am stepping back for a little trip down memory lane. Austin Miles (1912) I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear falling on my ear The son of God discloses And He walks with me And He talks with me And He tells me that I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known He speaks and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing And He walks with me And He talks with me And He tells me that I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known Scomber x 2021
