So happy I drew Snowflake!
I’ve remixed most of her uploads so I looked for ones I’d missed.. Her brilliant song “Open” leapt out at me. The piano track was tricky to work with, shifting in and out of time with emotion in abundance. I tried many times to deal with the variable BPM so in the end I just decided to embrace it. I constructed the synth bass and drums to act as solid frame for the building and let the piano and vocal phrasing swing around the frame. Originally I was going to sing the whole song, but hearing SF’s wonderful vocal I couldn’t ignore it - so some how the project transformed into a duet. I had heaps of fun with this, and I sincerely hope I have added to the song rather than destroying it! Hope u like!
