A more sombre Scomber today.
Have a friend down south who was ravished by the horrible fires and lost her sister, niece and nephew trying to flee the firestorm.
Perhaps their guardian angel was sleeping.

Originally I did this on the organ but it sounded too deathly so I locked Count Scomber in the closet despite the full moon overhead.
The piano this was recorded on is an upright that is over 150 years old and the only mouse attached is one that peaks over the top occasionally when I hit a bum note.
Turned the lights off when playing so the only light was the smokey moon through the window behind me.
I detuned the vox slightly to match the shocking condition of the piano.
The shaker is a coke bottle full of barley which I left out for my little friend when I finished.

You may sense a tinge of optimism in this song, only because its now 30 deg C cooler than the weekend when hell visited our little nirvana down under.

This is song 6 out of 365 in my daily pilgrimage to a higher sphere. Please let me know what you think.

Had some difficulty with the EQ - although I recorded it last night - I mastered it this morning after a thorough ocean beating and a head full of salt water.
Rip Helen, Jake and Sarah.
Thanks Jacinda for a beautiful and apt vocal. Welcome to CCM.
Instrumental stems are here.
