While John was lining up with his Mom for Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back I must have been in the cinema next door catching some Saturday Night Fever. The walls of the Roxy were pretty thin so I must have realized what was going on next door.
The Star Wars sounds are me courtesy of a nice Darth Vader plugin. I’ve kept John’s vocal way up in the front of the queue as I’m sure John was when waiting to be let in. The backup scatty vocals are also me doing my best impression of a cinema usher under heaps of pressure trying to call John back into the foyer while they vacuumed up the popcorn from the last screening. John desperately wanted the front row so he could really feel the force.
Thanks mate for a trip down memory lane. While John wanted a Millennium Falcon for Christmas I wanted Carrie Fisher. Those buns!
[EDIT] I just caught a glimpse of my reflection in one of my video monitors and wearing my big cans and white dressing gown I looked terribly like Princess Leah. Now thats a real postcard from the edge ;-)
