Quite a dark and ambiguous piece of prose.

Even the devil didn’t want it
He saw the emptiness behind her eyes
What happened to the smiling little girl?
When was it that everything turned black?
What happened to her sunny skies?

The only thing she’s sure about is
that no one will hear her screams,
or the voice that urges her to do it now!

The people rushing past her on a crowded street
Don’t realise that nothing’s as it seems
And they don’t even look at her,
they never see her eyes
Sometimes it feels as if she isn’t there.
