Included in this zip-file are two original songs.
“Garden Of The Forking Paths” - a poetic lyric, including a spoken word portion - intended for a J.Lang collaboration… and “Joachim” a lyric written for Per Tegelström’s beautiful musical backing - a song about the mysterious figure of St. John The Baptist. Also uploaded here is the original mix by Per (Timberman) as an mp3. Lyrics: Joachim In your wandering you may cry May lift your eyes to skies and sigh And when your thirst has reached its high Without water you may die…. It’s then clouds part And rays of sunshine rise…. Change the water into wine Change the water into wine When your body’s scorched and burnt And madness wreathes your knitted brow On locust’s and on honey dine Come hear the music – oh divine. Your index finger poised in air As Wisdom’s words stir about your hair The baptism of fire and flame Transformed into a gentle rain Its then clouds part And rays of sunshine rise…. Change the water into wine Change the water into wine When mystery has washed you clean And everything you are is seen Know then that you too are like they On golden wings who fly away…. Change the water into wine Change the water into wine….. #2: Garden of the Forking Paths There’s a dark side to each story And a side of the light There’s a path that leads to glory And a road of strife (dark light Day night Day night Dark light) Gather love in shinning moments Lay your tears out stone cold Time is short so seize the moment this is what we’re told… such clichés may leaves us dangling on the edge of platitudes coloring this or that decision swinging from our moods each and every person living has a height and depth saint and sinner both encompass our first and last breath Spoken part: (I unfolded from sleep as if I were a flower… Mysteriously opening to its day. I smelled the freshly laundered sheets and Saw in dim shafts of light tiny motes of dust, Encircling miniature galaxies. I sensed you, though we did not embrace, or even touch. I heard the rhythm of your breathing riding a distant morning train whistle… And knew that I had arrived As each living man must To every morning of the world.) each and every person living has a height and depth saint and sinner both encompass our first and last breath
