Panu is one of the better songwriters on the planet earth.
Not only his lyrics and compositions shine through, also he is just a wonderful person.

This said, I was overwhelmed to get Panu as my assignment for this ccMixter.

So I selected the Easter Light song.
A song as beautiful as a song can be. Probably there was something like the gods particle around Panu?

So, what did I do here:

First it took me a while to figure the right BPM - 75/150.
I tried to replay the chords (on E Major - I hope I found the right progression) - The lower keys are indeed from one of the first drafts I played. I added the high key harmony later.
I used a simple acoustic bass line and the guitar body for percussion.

I cutted a couple of the guitar pieces from the demo and added a lot of effects on them to have them panned max left and right - plus reverb and delays.

Next I quadrupled and retuned Panu singing the chorus to make him a gospel choir.

Added a little suprise in the last chorus. ;-)

The mixing and mastering was driven by placing Panu into a large Cathedral but still making the sound as warm and calm as possible. Also I removed half of the things I did (to make the Higgs Bosom shine more)

I hope I found the right balance.
